Die DaliLibEx-Bibliothek enthält Funktionsbausteine zur Kommunikation des Foxtrot-Systems (ab Version v. 5.7. und höher) mit DALI-Vorschaltgeräten über CIB zu DALI-Buskonvertermodulen. Typischerweise C-DL-0012S und C-DL-0064M. Der DALI-Bus verwendet ein spezielles serielles synchrones Zweidrahtprotokoll gemäß den Spezifikationen der NEMA Standards Publication 243-2004 Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) Control Device Protocol PART 1-2004 und PART 2-2004.
